• Our Story

Laker Lures is built for the kind of fishing that doesn’t forgive weak gear. Northern Canadian waters are cold, deep, and hard on everything you throw at them. That’s exactly why we’re here.

This brand started the same way most real gear does: time on the water, hard lessons, and a simple truth, performance matters. When you’re hunting Lake Trout that pull like anchors or Northern Pike that strike like they’re angry at the universe, you don’t get many second chances.

Your lure needs to run true, hold together, and keep working after the hit, the fight, and the next cast.

  • Our Team

Laker Lures was founded in 2024 by brothers Rylan and Byron Waugh, lifelong anglers raised fishing the lakes of Northern Saskatchewan.
Years spent on the water built a clear understanding of how these fisheries behave and what gear actually holds up. Targeting Lake Trout and Northern Pike in demanding conditions leaves little room for compromise, and that experience shaped how they think about every detail.

What started as time on the water evolved into building something of their own, creating lures shaped by firsthand experience and a commitment to doing things right.

  • Our Products

We launched Laker Lures in 2024 with one job: build premium lures that prove themselves in real conditions. Not “should work.” Works every day, in the places that punish shortcuts.

The Laker Hunter became the foundation of our lineup because it earned it. Put to work on trophy Lake Trout and aggressive Northern Pike across Northern Canada, it’s become a go-to for anglers and guides who rely on performance, not excuses.

For the 2026 season, we’re pushing further with the Laker Hunter XL. Bigger profile. Stronger build. More presence in deep and open water. Built for bigger water and bigger predators, with a powerful action that shows up when it counts.

Alongside the Laker Twister and Laker Vibe 180 and 130, the lineup continues to grow with a clear focus: performance-driven design, proven on the water, not in theory.
